Makayela

Makayela is half Samoan and half Māori. In their culture it's not very common to dress alternatively or have the specific tattoos or piercings that they have, however Tatau and Tā moko are celebrated.

Mik is a part of the LGBTQIA+ community, identifies as pansexual and has a 3 year old son.

Mik has struggled with Psoriasis since childhood but they don't allow this to interfere with their goal to give their Pasifika culture more of a voice to be who they want to be, alongside their brothers and sisters in the ballroom community.
